Looking for a datalogger cable

Ok so I have searched and searched and searched and found nothing to what kinda problem I have. I have a laptop that I want to use to datalog but the only adapter thing in the back of the laptop that I have has 15 little holes for 15 pins obviously so I can't use the db9 adapter thing which comes on 99% of the cables sold on ebay. What should I do? Where do they sell a cable for me? BTW it is going in my 95. Thanks

Nice. And I tried to download mhiscan also but it is not working for me. How did you download it?

MHIScan does NOT work on 1995/96 DSM's, and Ceddy is a little pre-occupied on his flashing project now, so don't expect a fix anytime soon. Get EVOSCAN. I have both the cable and software in stock.

^^ I was reading through the thread and I think on page 3 or 4 he has a link to the mhiscan for 95-96. But can I download evoscan for free off some website and use with that cable in the link above?

That connector on you laptop is for VGA when connecting to external monitor. Its not for data sync.

Alright thanks for clearing that up. I will probably buy one of those cables with the usb input. But I am still having troubles installing the mhiscan. I sent the guy that made the software an email about the problem I am having and of course the lovely man never contacted me back.......
