alright so ive been doingmy research the past couple months, but i just wanted to verify and get some wiseman knowledge to make sure im on the right track.

Mods:
16g
fmic
intake
3" all the way
AFPR
255 walby
FIC 650's
and i believe thats all performance i have so far.

i have a wideband on the way and im currently saving the funds for the dlink v3, but with whats listed and the 2 items on there way, 300 hp possible?

You're definitely on the way to 300hp, but just be sure to wait on installing the injectors if you haven't already. You need to wait for the copy of ECMLink you ordered to come in so you have a way to compensate for the larger injectors. Also, you'll probably find yourself wanting bigger injectors to hit that 300hp plateau, but if you already have the 650's, you might as well see what you can produce with them first.

i dont really see how this helped, but thats for the effort anyways. ;)

LOL. This is the most helpful thing in the entire thread. Try reading.

notice why i deleted it. maybe YOU should try reading ;)

Please don't act dumb. I did read. Spamming is not a way to get post count.

I would say you are definitely on the right track to make 300hp. Only thing i would add at this point is, I assume you already have a boost gauge, and have replaced your stock bov? Other than that looks good!

And don't forget maintenance .

300hp should come very easily with a decent tune without pushing the setup too hard
300whp will take a more aggressive tune, but certainly within reach, especially on a dynojet, LOL

idk what youre talking about...getting my post count up?? i could give a poop less. please dont trash my thread.

and obviously maintainence goes hand-in-hand with doing a new turbo setup on a car...im no noob, just trying to figure if im on right path

i have 2 different after market BOV's, turbo xs, and one that came with my fmic(which was univeral ebay so idk how reliable it is) but both look good, ive only been using the turbo xs one and its pretty good and doesnt have a ricey sound.

and i AM looking for WHP. i will be investing in some cams, and then ill be set for my summer setup...after summers a different story(prob gonna go with hx30 setup)

but for now just want low 300's and...yea

so if it looks right, i appreciate the nice fellas help!

Do you have a mbc? Other than that, once you get dsmlink you should be set

You will be able to tell which BOV performs the best by doing a boost leak test.

Upgraded cams aren't necessary at all to make low 300whp, not that the right set wouldn't hurt, LOL

You also never mentioned which 16g you're running? But they are all capable of low 300whp

Since your getting Link, you might as well get 1000cc injectors as it will give you more room to grow. You can easily run E85 with any 16g and that will make your goals a little easier.

Just make sure to get it tuned right! I do recommend having it dyno tuned. Don't do it all for nothing, blown motor= no fun

It's not necessary to get dyno tuned. Tuning is simple with the right tools(logger, wideband) and knowing the right parameters to tune for.

mbc? sorry i dont knwot hat acronym...

im not sure which 16g it is, i bought this car from a really ...well in nicer words, jerk. all he told me was 16g with 6 swap...i was niave and didnt know there was a difference at the time.

as for the cams, i mean the more power the better, and the safer the better.
i have an offer for the FP2 cams...i did some research and people seem to be very immpressed with these cams...you know guy any different? like i said ill eventually be switching over to a hx30 so whatever can stay for that setup is better for me...1000cc isnt too much for this setup? damn i JUST got the 650's too!! stupid advice from frds..

Mbc= Manual boost controller.

And no 1000cc injectors would absolutely not be too big, since your gonna be using Ecmlink you cant really go to big, and if you do upgrade to a larger turbo you wouldnt have to upgrade again. Your 650s wont be enough for a Hx35 sized turbo. And like Toofast82 said if you want to run e85 to make your 300hp goal easier, then bigger injectors are a must.

oookkk gotcha gotcha. the guy i bought from 6 montsh ago said it had a mbc...but i have yet to find it, and im not new to turboed cars (bulit my own 513hp gti and well 3 other cars also) so i would think i could find a mbc if it were there...just cant find it..

what a buzz kill to here about the injectors...my budget is slim and i thought 650s were the way to go...but thanks for letting me know about the PROPER setup.

great help fellas

The mbc is usually put around the intake pipe, close to the turbo, a common spot is attached to the fan shroud.

And as far as your 650s go dont worry about it. They will be plenty for your 300hp goal, and when you wish to upgrade just sell them, someone will surely buy them. Then you can upgrade for a lil more money :thumb:

ok ok sounds good...well now i just need a few hundo more for that link! one more question. say i get the link and get it all tuned up, but after tune i put my cams in, does that require new tuning? i know nothing about tuning

I'm by no means an expert on Link (Maybe someone with a little more knowledge on this can chime in. )

but, no it would not be absolutely necessary, as long as you are not knocking/ running to lean. But as easy as link is to tune with there is no reason not to tune it anyways. Tune is the most important.
