So I was sold on the Evo 16g great tubo from what i hear but as i read the thread's the owners seem to have a good set up 550cc, upgrade fuel pump, exhaust, ported turbo and tune but they are not even breaking 300Hp my worry is maybe this turbo isn't going to cut it so i plan to spend at least $1,000 on my turbo upgrade I am trying to get at least 350hp+ out of my car nothing to crazy i just hate to drop that kind of money and end up having to upgrade any suggestion on maybe a different turbo for that kind of money ?

Yeah the 16g is a little small for that find of power. I suggest you look in to a t3/t4 combiation but youll prob have more than 1000 into a new setup cause yoll need a new manifold, o2 housing, wastegate, install kit and Def. a front mount.

I was looking at the Precision T&E scm5027 with internal wastegate rated at 450hp i was trying to keep the stock manifold Fmic for sure:rocks:

Yeah the Evo III 16g well supported could do that, but you seem to be look a much easier way, well then you can get a nice 50 trim turbo and following mods such as 255lph fuel pump, AFPR, 650/680cc injectors logger and AFC should get you there no problem...

Either way tunning makes all the difference, plus cams help the turbo perform better, the right exhaust helps, not to mention a well running motor to ensure you'll be running right.

Good luck with your setup, and just a friendly reminder that this subject has been covered before budd... maybe some more searching could answer some of your questions...!

Regards,

Thanks for the Info..... 50 trim huh any particular brand of turbo prefference?

dejonpowerhouse.com AKA dejon tool has this nice PTE 50 trim turbo for around $849 or so... the reason I know this particualr turbo is great its because a few close friends have this setup and it works great on the track and is very streetable... then again its all in your budget, but look here on dsmtuners on our parts guide and there are many more vendors who carry several versions of the 50 trim turbo...!

Tip: heres what I do when in looking for a specific part for my car, I look at several brands, and see the result people have had with them according to their reviews... for instance if im looking to get FIC 550cc injectors or a greddy intercooler, I search for it and see what people posted about it, that always helps make my mind.... good luck

Evo III would be able to make 350, but if you're gonna look at 50 trim sized turbos, a lot of people recommend agp and pte. If you search them your gonna find a lot of mixed reviews on both. I have read more positive feedback about 20gs and FP hybrids than any other turbos.
