No offense, but I doubt you "Killed" the cobra unless he didn't know how to drive. I own one with just a catback and put down 395/366....granted your car is lighter, but you would have to putting down some serious power to effectively "Kill" it. Most cobra's with intake and exhaust are making around 415 to 420. I'm not saying you didn't beat him, but I just don't think you killed him. Aside from that, it looks like your knocking pretty good around 6200rpms. I actually would have expected alot more timing since your using an afc which leads me to believe that your knocking alot more than you think. I don't like to rely on O2's, but it appears your really rich. Was the car thoroughly warmed up when you made this run?

Yeah... the o2 voltage is only a rough guess... but by the looks of it you're running rather rich. I see you have 660's and 255lph, but what is your FPR set at?

You said you made this log on one highway run right, did you play with the afc afterwards and run it again? felt any difference?

more tuning is the key to kill more cobras.

Yes the car was thoroughly warmed up. Now you say that I am knocking, I believe you on that and now your saying that my O2's are rich. I also agree with you on that. I am not going by O2's I am going by timing advance. Once boost hits, that's where timing get pulled. No matter how much fuel you give it, it will still pull timing. I even fattened her up in the top end and tried that out. (noy joy, just lost some power and O2's were at 1.0 from 5k-7k. My FPR is SET at 43. So there for, The timing curve is smooth up to 6300 then the rest of it starts to go up. I belive that too much timing advance on pump gas is not too good so I tuned for roughly 17 degs total timing advance. On the other hand I always keep an eye on my egt's. I would rather stay slighly below 1600 deg. I've seen guys that run 1700degs and make a shit load of power.

Ok, so now here's the question. By looking at my log, do you think that I should fatten her up from 3k and up? Coz right now my hi settings are at -34 3000-7000.

By "fatten her up" you mean richen it up a little?

Well I would say no, you want to lean it out a tad more and go from there... but No.. that wouldn't be the answer since you already run a round about 1600 F.
You are indeed runing rich, have you done a boost leak lately? are you 100% sure you dont have one? you should double check that, and well maybe try to get you FPR to 40psi... I know you have a 2G but you have upgraded injectors and fuel pump so this shouldn't hurt at all, then again always watch closely your egt's on every run...

Edit: 1.0v from your O2 is pretty high, you definetaly dont want that.

heres a dumb question. What is meant by "egt". For SACF 2 to lean out the rich is to go

negative '-' 0 '+' positve ? Which one. To add fuel is to .........?

I'm having a hard time figuring this out. I'm running rich with 7 knocks at idle.

If you read the post above I am knocking at 6300 and timing was at 12. Now If I lean it out some more. I will get even more knock. The more lean I make it, the less timing advance I get. To answer you question on boost leaks. I had that problem in the past and I went ahead and changed all of the couplings on the UPper and Lower IC piping 2 weeks ago. I also did a boost leak test after that and I pressurized it up to 30 psi. NO hissing or anything. So, No leaks. I also watch my egt's on every run especially when I log it. I get an average of 1578-1585 WOT in 3RD gear and that's every time, CONSIstant. I will probably turn the boost down a little bit a PSi or two. I know that I am pushing 91 pump to the limit.

I must be a pretty damn good driver then. We were at a rolling start. I dont tune with O2's by the way. I monitor timing advance and EGT's

If you started from a 20 or 30 punch, he is going to pull like mad with all that torque he will make and your not spoolin until mid 4's. Nonetheless, you could be knocking because of the rich factor. If it was me, I would turn down the boost to around 15psi and see if your still knocking. Your right though to tune by EGT's and knock without a true wideband. I know that .98V has been perfect compared to my wideband reading of 11.4:1 and i've also seen .92V being perfect 11.4:1 and .92 is what most will say is the ideal O2 voltage reading.

FYI, here's one of my dyno's ..had a small spike at the end..just to give you an idea of relatively stock cobra's powerband..just a catback...the a/f reading is actually off around 1 whole point. Anyhoo, nice kill :)

If hes already at 20 shouldn't he be around 5500rpm in first? If he's at 30 shouldn't he be almost at redline to shift to 4.5-5k for 2nd or already be in 2nd at 4.5-5k?

Yeah your right...I think I shift out of first at 40mph in the dsm. Even so, he's not going to be making alot of torque down low, but the dsm will spin his tires..or atleast I do. Being that the cobra weighs a ton, its not going to spin as bad.
