My friend and i went out for some tuning in his 2g, 2.0,auto, 20g, fmic, and 750 injectors. We have logged that he is gettin knock at higher rpms. Even though we go in to the tables of ecmlink and take timing away we can never seem to get a hold of this. enclosed is the log..from idle to an easy drive and then to a 3rd gear pull to high 6k rpms. We are lookin at pointers for where to go from here..

obviously we are goin to check for boost leaks and plugs/gap..

thank you
Trevor

edit** boost is set to 21psi even though you see 25 or 26 in the boostest

First download the most recent stable version v3.21.40 and then download early access v3.21.109 from the ECMLink Downloads page. After doing this you'll want to update your firmware as well but to do so its a bit trickier than just clicking a link.
  1. You'll want to submit a firmware request and to do it requires you to connect to your cars ECU. Click ECU from the drop down and click Create Firmware Request... paying close attention to where its saved on your computer.
  2. Request Firmware Upgrade... and select Choose File and find your firmware file you just saved.
  3. Download the new firmware to your desktop or somewhere you can easily access it and then open up ECMLink.
  4. Click the ECU drop down menu and select Upgrade Firmware and then pick the file you just downloaded while your connected to the ECU in the car.

AirflowPerRev at idle should hover around 0.25 gm/rev and in that log its about 0.21 gm/rev, this is showing that your MAFComp needs work specifically the 0 Hz and 50 Hz sliders. Once you get AirflowPerRev squared away check out Jeff GS-T's WOT MAF Calibration and tune the higher Hz range MAFComp sliders, you'll probably be playing with 1500Hz to 1800Hz.

A few things I noticed too. When you do a 3rd gear pull start at 3k RPM and then go WOT to redline or until it knocks (flashes a CEL). During the WOT pull what happened when you got to 7k RPM? Right at 7k the RPMs dropped back down to 5k yet the throttle position never changed from 100%.
