Not sure, but is it ok to loctitie the main cap bolts on the crankshaft when installing.

I assume you are using stock mains since you didn't specify changing to ARP. You should use SAE 30 wt oil on the threads. Using ARP moly lube will reduce the friction to the point that you could over torque them accidentally. ARP | Tech - Installation Click on "using a torque wrench."

For instance: Head studs are 80ft/lb with ARP moly lube & 120ft/lb with SAE 30 (IIRC).

So, I assume you would need way less torque with moly lube to achieve the same clamping force on the main caps. You could pull the journal out of round using stock torque specs with the moly lube. Some would say that is overkill. Built motors cost a lot of money so I don't f_ck around when it comes to specs no matter how insignificant it might seem.

I was going off memory, but I found this sheet that came with my head studs. I was just using the example so the OP would realize the implication of changing the lubricant when using a specified OEM torque rating. Especially on something as critical as a journal with .002 oil clearance.

You guys are missing the point. If you use different lube on the thread the actual stretch and clamping force is the same if you follow the directions for the lubricant you are using. Following the directions to the letter is the best way to ensure success. Lock tight is a no no. You will not get the correct and even clamping force. You will have a hard time disassembling and cleaning threads . its also not necessary.
