Little/No Power When Driving

Hi guys,
I recently came across a problem in my mitsu. First off my battery will not keep a charge. My battery is relocated to my trunk and I cannot find a loose or rusted ground wire so I have no idea why my car is dead as soon as I turn the car off. Secondly, when driving the car I can press the gas to the floor and my RPM's will not rise unless I am in neutral, but my turbo will spool. Me and a friend were thinking it was the mass airflow sensor. If anyone has any input on my situation it would be greatly appreciated.

does the car turn off while its running after a while? as far as the battery is concerned u may want to check the alternator to see if its charging or check the battery for dead cells, Autozone does both services for free, as far as the revving goes, does it rev normal or with issues? is the timing correct? do u have a cel? check the timing and the cat converter.....

The car doesn't turn off when its idling at least it didn't when we let it run for 30 mins. I will check the alternator in a few hours here to check and see if it is good. When in neutral it revs fine but when in gear it will sit at around 1500 and then if i really step on it it will move to 2000 in like 5 seconds then the revs will just go all over the place. All the way from 500 to 4000 in a matter of like 1 second. And it is a 5 speed.

Just figured out that the alternator is good. I cannot find a loose/ missing ground though, but I will keep looking for one. Any ideas about either problem would be greatly appreciated.

I had a problem with my car not accelerating and I borrowed my friends MAS and that fixed it. Also check to make sure you have MAS plugged in all the way. I've also had that happen to me more thank I would like to admitt.

Sounds like a bad MAS, or really dirty, clean it if problem continues swap it with a friends.
