Just wondering if anyone who made piping for their FMIC could post a list of bends that they used.
I'm trying to figure out if I need all of the bends in a kit that I found, or if it would be better to buy individually.
I have a side to side core.

Also, anyone with pictures of their piping laid out before being installed, or a shot with it installed but with no bumper/intake/etc... that would be great.

Thanks

If you are facing the front of the car (looking directly at the intercooler) mine has on:

Left side: 1 90 degree bend towards the passenger compartment. Once past the radiator 1 90 degree bend upwards, then one 90 degree bend back towards the passenger compartment (the straight pipe off that connects to the Throttle Body).

Right side: One 90 degree bend towards the passenger compartment, Just passed radiator one 90 degree bend towards the front passenger wheel (so the straight pipe runs along the bottom of the radiator), one 90 degree bend upwards, which meets a stainless J-Pipe coming off the compressor.

Heres the one I just ordered hopefully it has everything im gonna use one of the 90degree bends to make my jpipe and weld on the flange from my stock one.

That seems like a lot of couplers. Mine has 3 pipes (I don't use a j pipe, but even if I did that would be 4).

Do you have any pictures of your setup?

I'm curious to see how you used 3 90's from IC to throttle body...

Another quick question...

Would it be inefficient to run 2.5" piping to a core with 2.25" inlet/outlet? I'm finding it easier to find piping kits that are 2.5"... but would the reducer coming into the intercooler be much of a bottleneck?

It shouldn't be a problem to go from 2.25 to 2.5"

This picture isn't very clear, but you can see the piping come off the TB elbow and turn down at the front of the engine bay (turn 1). It drops about a foot and turns towards the front of the car (so the pipe goes through where the washer bottle used to be). The last turn is a 90 degree elbow directly attached to the intercooler.

You wouldnt happen to have more pics would you? I have my piping already and want to see what people do on the drivers side of the intercooler.

Sorry, no. I just have that one in my phone and my car is currently 45 minutes away. You really have only 2 options (That I consider reasonable anyway). Hack a hole through the metal where the coolant over flow bottle bolts (just passenger side of the radiator) and make a 90 degree bend off the intercooler towards the TB (what I have done - short route) or route your piping through the old side mount location (long route).

Pretty much it. Take your pick.
