Okay so I put brand new linkage in my car about 1k miles ago, and this morning when putting my car into reverse it broke. From the moment I put it in shifting sucked, I was convinced that I had the wrong part..

So my three possibilities are:
1) I have a 90 trans and am using 91-94 linkage (I did an auto-5spd swap and I dont know what year the tranny is)
2) I have a 91-94 trans and am using a 90 linkage on accident
3) I am using a fwd linkage on accident

Is there any way to identify my linkage or tranny and try to resolve this?

(I ordered the linkage from a parts store that has messed up in the past...)

My last possibility is that everything is correct and it just broke.
Anyway here are pics of the linkage

Yeah it shifts good expect for second gear (it grinds downshifting) and reverse pops out every 1 in 15-20 times.... the tranny has less then 1k miles on it of easy driving since i put it in new :/
