I'm having a problem with gears grinding. When I start the car up and put it into first it will pop out. IF I put it in third and let the clutch grad a little then back to first it works good. Then about 50% of the time when I shift from 1st to 2nd it doesnt grab and kicks out. When I get in 2nd sometimes will grind goon into 3rd. And everyonce in awhile it will grind going into reverse. Any ideas?

Bought the transmission used because my stock one blew apart. Had a transmission shop install it for me and when I got it back the guy told me there is no way to adjust the clutch on my kinda car. I knew that was a lie so I jumped in the car and took off. Turns out I didn't have 2nd gear so I had it rebuilt. The
sincro was bad. Worked good for a little bit then last night this started happening

Try and adjusting it under the dash. Here is a video that might help.

Was the clutch bled properly? What is the condition of the shifter cables? Is the cable bracket firmly attached to the bell housing?

What flywheel? Was is stepped properly? Where does the clutch fork sit in the bell housing window? Where the shifter forks replaced?

I just bled the clutch about a week ago. It's raining right now so I'll have to get back to you on a few of those. I'm running a act lightweight flywheel and I'm sure it was stepped properly because I had a mechanic install it but I guess he could have messed it up. As soon as I can I'll check everything you listed

Forks weren't replaced
