Alright, so last night I was just cruisin and I shifted into second and all of a sudden I missed it MAJORLY, pulled it back into first and back into second and it works, BUT it feels really sloppy and I had to move the shifter really far down. I thought at first it was the little c-clip again, but its something else.

Any ideas as to how I can fix that without replacing the whole thing?

That's usually cable replacement.

Maybe, depending on skills, weld it back together.

You could try to weld/fix it but, will it last since it is already broken? Probably not is the best answer. If it is broken, get another one either used or new; which ever your budget can afford. :thumb:

Glad to still see you still fixing her up!!

Replace the cables, thats the only option. The boot broke, not the cable itself. You can't weld rubber.

Alright guys, thanks for the advice. I'll be looking for a thread here on how to replace them. I'm REALLY new to this M/T stuff LOL. So I ended up just rigging up some zipties to do the same job the boot was doing for now since its my daily and I have to drive it to work in order to make some money. I hung out with some friends tonight and did some cruisin'. Held up so far. I'll be buying the cables here soon. Thanks again!
