My talon is back together after replacing the entire exhaust system. Got an FP manifold, ported s16g, EVOIII o2, 3" dynomax I built with no cat. That car never had a real boost gauge. I installed an AEM truboost but the sol is bad. I get an SWS error code. So it tried to by pass the wastedgate using the stock EBC and still only 10 psi at 6500 rpm. I made the output tube on my fabbed J tube out of the top of the 16g. Is the tube -3 size too big and I get too much volume (CFM) of air going to the boost control and it can't handle it? Back many years ago my mustang SVO had a way to drill all the little orifices on the W/G control to run a constant 20 psi. I put a plastic "T" in the loop now with a restriction in the feed from the J tube. I have not driven it yet. Doesn't the 16g have a 12 or 14 psi spring stock??? Tres....

I am at loss here, explain yourself a little better. Are you saying you can only hold 10 psi ?
I hold 12 psi in 1st and 2nd gear rolls before creeping and 10 psi on the rest of my gears.

You should be happy it stays at 9-10 all the time, boost creep really sucks.
Do you still have your catalytic converter ?

No, it is 3" with a Pypes resonater and a dynomax muffler. I just drove the car with a restriction in the feed line and the stock EBC hooked up. It now goes to around 14.9 psi and goes quite a bit better now. First gear is almost unusable now. I do have my small tires, snow tires on the car now. It is a total sleeper. Tres....

If it holds 14.9 all the way without creeping then it sounds good enough. Just make sure it doesn't pass that.
