ok here here is my question , 0k i'm turboing my 420a i have a vortech fpr and vortech fmu , also 36lb injecters and spare 42lb injecters , and a safc. can i run that setup for 8 to 10 psi boost , intil i get the megasquirt?

it is a full rebiult bottom, eagle rods and crank with je 8:5:1 forged piston, new oil pump, bored 20 over . with all that done can i creep 10 psi at least

With that setup you can crank the boost to 18+ depending on the size of the turbo, with a good tune. With no tune, I would stay at 8 or under if possible.

i will be running a t3/t4 t04e 57 trim turbo , but i know i cant run high boost with out the megasquirt . I like to run 10 psi boost , can i do that with the safc

why can't you run anything higher than 10psi with a SAFC?\
You have the bottom end to handle it!

Get a palm data logger, or something to log, a Wideband o2, and tune for the perfect A/F ratio without getting knock!
Its a little tougher trying to use a SAFC over something like DSMLink but it will work, and it has in the past!

With no tune, you shouldn't be putting all of this together and going around boosting at all, unless you have lots of money to throw around. Do it right, if you're going to build the motor, then do it. When you get it all put together decide your psi of boost on your turbo, motor, and supporting mods and your goals then go get it all done with a great tune. No sense in half assing it and having to tear it all apart again.

ok , i heard that safc can only tune to a point and i really dont want to jack stuff up becouse its alot of money in the bottom end. i was planning to get the megasqirt but ran out of funs. so i was planning to use the safc for now.

I honestly would not run the car without a tune... You wouldnt want to wash your crank case with fuel.

Get that SAFC dialed in pronto. ;)

i have not ran the car it still in biuld mode , i just trying to get some info

also i like to know where i can get a megasquirt ecu from for a decent price ?
i found some but it looks like i have to put it together.
