I have a problem I cant figure out. At anything over about 5500rpm my head lights dim , it happens whether you just rev the car or are driving down the road. What would make the motor pull more power at high rpms?WTF Any ides and I will try them its driving me nuts Please help. Has any one else had this problem?

edit
The alternator is pretty new as well as a new belt.

idk im throwing this wayyyy out in the open but maybe your alternator is going? maybe at high rpms the engine is pulling more power and the alternator cant handle it anymore?, sorry but i cant think of much else im wasted right now.

Hey, I had that happen to me when i lost one of my alternators. I hope it isn't autozone, haha i went through probably 6. But check the tension on the belt you shouldnt be able to deflect it more then 1/2" i think(from the middle of two pulleys), if you can get someone in the car while you can get a voltimeter on the battery. check out the voltage your battery is getting before, and rev it up and see what happens.. Let me know!
