alright i'm sick of my stock 1g intake pipe, lets see what you guys have done to get rid of that piece of junk!

this is off my 2g but I supose something very similar could be done. the actual intake on the turbo is a piece of 2.5" mandrel bent that was cut to fit. and I used the upper part so it would match up on the MAF.. the part after the maf is lowes 4.5" 90* bend and a section of the inner fender cut out for clearance so the filter is actually pulling in cold air. the third pic shows where my filter is now at....

p.s. the cold air part will only work if you have a front mount and the piping short routed.

looks nice, notice any difference? plus anybody know what benifits a 1g would have with using a 2g MAF?

Straight Line Specialists, got it $50 used.

Call Dejon Tool good pipes for $100 for all year/MAF style combinations.

Blow off valve and spool up are a lil louder and a 2g maf will let you run 550's and a 255 pump with out a fuel computer i think

with mine quite alot... spool p is louder... it gained I think 2 psi overall. the incoming air is MUCH cooler an doesn;t heat up as bad at stoplights.

Very strange, exactally what mine looks like! EXACTLE, exept I have a 3in coming from the 2g mas to feed the 50 trim.

with out the CAI, my intAKE TEMP SAT AT 150-160 WHILE CRUSING AROUND. With the CAI, my temps are at 90 on a recent 81 deg. Day, and d o not go over 110 in I am thrashing on it.

sweet . I've been wanting to do that filter behind the front bumper for a while now. where did you get the hoses for the couplings? they're huge at 4.5"

Here's mine.

I got the 90* bend and the coupler at lowes in the plumbing section... the bend is 4.5" PVC and the coupler is meant for pvc use... I already had the adapter plate and the filter so I just added those in.

The filter in the place of the sidemount is the way to go. This winter, FMIC & cold air intake!

Here's my setup. Custom cold air intake, custom 2.5" t-body elbow, ADFX
2.5" short route i.c. pipes, RRE 2.25" MAF/turbo pipe, etc.

please tell me you cover the backside of that up with a shield or something to keep the water off of the filter

Yeah, that inner fender cover goes on after the bumper cover gets installed. I found early on that the car seems to shift faster venting, even with the MAS. Car has AEM EMS now, and I'm going to make a lightweight setup using the pre-MAS pipe from those pictures.
