Seriosly. My neighbor lost a bet with me and owes me some work, he happens to be in the sheet metal industry and is very very crafty with a tig/mig. I had mentioned to him that I wanted him to build me a manifold and he told me to bring him dimensions and it was done.

Is there any one who knows the dimensions of any of the nicer manifolds out there, magnus or bj's or maybe venom's. I am not trying to rip off these products and start production, just wanted to do it myself, or custom from my neighbor actually.

Serious replies only, I need complete and hard measurements to build a manifold, can any one help me with this project?

Make something different...

Pick up Max Boost by corky bell.. There is also a sheet metal intake fab book out there.

I would make one with about 4"-5" long runners with a ~7 degree taper increasing from the head port size to the plenum..

With all do respect, unless you design your own and make/use your own demensions, you would be ripping them off. What else would you call begging for demensions to manufacture what they designed and sell. It's makes no difference to me, but it just sounded like you're contradicting yourself......

Why dont you try designing your own. Pull your manifold and draw up some demensions, and go to work on it. :thumb:

I was hoping to take dimensions from all 3, blend them and make a one time only not for sale or street use definintiveno sheet metal intake manifold :thumb:

I gave you some dimensions from an EAPro intake profile that works good on a 4G63... Let me know the RPM range... Use a 6" runner with less taper for a mild car...

Use a plenum.. air box about the same size as stock.. Maybe not as long... Look at the extreme manifold...

The runners are the most critical part on a turbo intake.. The airbox is just for low rpm pre-spool... Larger ones lag a little bit...

On a turbo car it is'nt rocket science. Just run a small bread box and pick runner lenght based on desired RPM of HP peak.

Would hp be determined only by rpm? For instance if the manifold was designed for 7k peak power, would it respond the same on a 2.4 as a 2.0?

I'm pretty sure I will stroke my motor but I'm still debating between a 2.0 8:5 compression 4500 stall, or a 2.4 9:1 compression 3500 stall. My conflict is drivability vs reliability.

For the most part Yes

On a 2.4 Id run the 6" on a 2.0 with a raised limiter maybe as short as 4" depending on how far..
