I have a stock 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS. The owner before me installed a quick release steering wheel but must’ve disconnected a ton of wiring around it. The left blinker will come on but flashes very quickly and the right blinker doesn’t come on at all, not even with hazards. Both lights have fresh bulbs and fuses. There’s a mess of wires and fuse boxes hanging down beside the clutch pedal and a couple wires beneath the steering wheel that aren’t connected to anything (but I have a suspicion they might be connectors for a horn and airbag which the new wheel doesn’t need.)

I have absolutely no experience with wiring cars so please dumb it down for me. thank you so much!

I suspect the blinky box behind the radio.

I might be wrong 😑 and it might be just the damaged wiring, but it’s part of the system.

You mentioned fast blinking, usually to change the oscillator rate (how fast you blink) in a RC circuit, is by changing the values for the Resistor and Capacitor , so something is doing it- idk.

Let us know.

I bought a multimeter and stripped out the trim in the length of the car where the wires run. looks like everything is receiving and conducting well up until the connector to the tail light. gonna replace that and pray it’s just an easy fix. if not, i’ll investigate that blinky box. thank you!
