I am hoping that maybe someone has run across this situation.. My o2 sensor had been bad in my car for a while so I finnally tally up the money to get a new one.. I go to Advanced auto and get the RIGHT part (I have a 95 eagle Talon and they would give me part number 15704 which is completely wrong so I ordered one for a 99 Eclipse AWD) Sensor looks exactley the same so I put it in... Cleared the codes and start to drive it around for a while.. I noticed that my EGT's were getting very high (ecu set default when the front o2 sensor was bad so it just ran a little rich) so I installed a walboro 255... I cleaned the injectors also and they seem ok.. I have already changed the fuel filter a few months ago (Napa) so that should be ok. My EGT's at 60mph sometimes hover around 1400 degrees and sometimes go higher with hills and such :( I thought maybe my gauge was off so I checked the plugs and they were not looking that good (ceramic was very white along with the electrode) This is all on stock boost with the solenoid still hooked up (spikes maybe 14 when its cold and holds 12-13psi) I have driven the car for a few days now very carefully and there are no CEL's.. I have already checked the intake off the turbo for any leaks and that turned out good.. I was wondering if anyone ever had a MAF go somewhat bad and not throw a code? I have access to a Solus so if someone could give me that voltage at idle and WOT I would appreciate that along with anything else I might have forgot to check.. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You can adjust the screw in the maf in the bottom has a silcone cover over it if you turn it in it richens it up if you turn it out it leans it out you could try this also! You have to sperate the metal air cooler attachment form the maf and it is on the very bottom on the outside !

What boost guage are you going buy the stock one is complete junk! You might be running really high boost and knocking like crazy!

Naw im using a stock SRT boost gauge (Autometer gauge that is only 1psi off) The factory boost gauge shows what the computer is seeing as boost I believe. Its run off that map sensor I think.. Anywho, my boost isnt all that high.

This sounds interesting.. Is there a FAQ on it somewhere??

Yes there is ill find it for you real quick also check your vaccum lines running to your fuel pressure regulator on the drivers side end of the fuel rail and see if the vaccum line are hooked up . It could be giving you fits as well!

Already double checked that.. I made sure there werent any boost leaks and such also (even though a boost leak would actually help me in this case) Thanks alot for any info you can give me!
