Just went to the carwash and got washed my self inside the car throug the sunroof. I dont think it is the seal because i can push the hole sunroof up from inside the car, so it wont lock. Have tried to see if it is of track and tighten the screws but it all seems fine to me, but the roof is still loose and leaky. What to do to have it locked? The rain is pooring down and in my car... Please help..!

Just put a bag over it for now if its still raining dude. In the mean time figure out if the seal is bad? Check the rubber seal for cracks.

The bag is good when youre not driving.. The seal seems fine, but that has nothing to with that the hole roof is loose?

Now the glass is of and anything looks fine. The only thing i can see is that it is a difference on the to sliders attached to glas, like a small bit is brooken of. Is this a part of the lock? Dont know how to explain it, could take some pictures but i dont have the usb cabel to the phone here.

you can e-mail the pictures from your phone to yourself on the computer silly! and i'm trying to think... i don't really wanna pull the gst's glass off... but i'm thinking if any part is broken, it might not be letting it sit right and therefore not seal right. i know we had a lot of issues with getting the sunroof to close right and not stick... lots of track adjustments. you just gotta mess with it... but if you can get a picture or two up here that'd be cool :)

Another thing to check is the height of the glass. If the whole sunroof is below the surface of the roof, water will pool up and leak into the cabin.

Our sunroofs don't "lock" in place. It more or less just lays there when it's closed. The last picture looks like the sunroof glass is sitting below the surface of the car. If you saw my earlier post, the rear part of the sunroof should be a little higher than the roof.

Before you do that though, you might want to remove the sunroof glass (6 torx screws) and make sure the drainage ports inside the sunroof assembly aren't clogged. There are 4 ports (1 at each corner of the sunroof).

The drains is fine. But how du i adjust the glass? With the 6 srews on the gliders? Just push it a bit up?

Thank you for helping me guys..

Yea, all you do is loosen all the torx screws (6 total), raise the glass and tighten.

Tryed to adjust it but the roof is still loose kan push it up from the inside of the car.

Maybe the tracks are loose from the sunroof assembly..Take off the glass and check the screws holding down the tracks.

BTW, I'm just curious as to how much your sunroof actually moves when you push up on it. You wanna upload a video or try to describe it? If you push up with a decent amount of force, say with the force of roughly 5-10 lbs, you're sunroof WILL move up; especially at the rear.

On the left side the sunroof is tight when i push it up, on the right it get so mutch up that i could stick my fingers out and i have big fingers:p

my car was having these problems 2.. i was about to change everything to make it better. it gets annoying whenever i drove above 40 and hit any kid of bump it would start letting air into the cabin unless u have the window cracked which would like suction it down... i tryed tighten the screws but i never did take it out yet to see if i could fix it but i guess ill have to try that today when i get home glad i found this topic

ha i got this same issue. it just feels like the whole assembly is loose. but i cant tighten the screws any more. more or less feels like the arms on the tracks are not tight and the glass just bounces up and down. ill go out and check to see if the tracks loose. my only issue is when i hit about 45 the front lifts up a bit and only on the right side air comes in. no water leaks inside or anything just air. its so annoying. ha. but il check and see whats up.

quick question: how do i get to those 6 torx heads? do i have to drop the headliner?
or is it accessable from the top of the car?

hitmachine101 you have to open your sunroof to the way that the glass is just on an angle.. not all the way open from the inside you look up at the glass and you will see the 3 torx on one side and the same on the other thats what your looking for :thumb: and btw mine doesnt leak either its more just the air..
