how would i go about fixing a leak thats on this knob on my oil filter housing? its like a cap and it points down but leaks!

Over-tightening will cause the tapered threads to crack the housing. Try some Gaskacinch sealant or Permatex High-Tack on it, you may get lucky.people337 said:hey guys
I to have an oil leak comming from my oil pump sensor and I cant tighten it up enough to make it stop. Did i over tighten it? it seems to come from between the nut and where the sensor comes through the nut.
