Just finished my Raditator flush a two days ago. Then i replaced driver side outer tie rod. Drove car about 2 miles to make sure everything was ok which it was. Then today i changed the passenger outer tie rod then i took for another spin to make sure everything was good. The drive is good but now i have raditator fluid leaking from the water pump area. I really cant see where its coming from, top or bottom. I guessing that the old fliud was too dirty to leak and now that i have clean fluid in there, its leaking but just dont know where from. I searched and people have been talking about the water pump bad, the water pump manifold gasket being bad or the water lines in that area. how can i see if its the water lines if i cant see. any pics or anything would be great

Just checked it out again. The only thing I can think of is different about the whole system is when you do a raditaitor flush, you have to turn the heater on. Being in phoenix, I never run the heater. So I switched the controller to cold with A/C on. Turned on car and no leak. Turned A/C off with selector still on cold. Still no leak. Turn selector switch back to heat. no leak. Crazy. I know I have a problem but I want to know what the problem is before I start doing some shotgun maintenance

Here are pictures from where its leaking from

If it's leaking from the water pump weep hole, then usually the water pump is dying. Are you having any overheating issues? Sounds silly, but you didn't mention any. I have had a leak from the gasket in that area and that fixed the problem. You could always take off one of the heater core hoses and have a friend crank the motor over for a second and it should shoot coolant out like a water hose. Just an idea!:thumb:

I dont have any over heating issues at all. Only problem was after the car has been sitting for a full day, it would whin when starting then stop after a second or two. Told its another sign that the water pump is dead or dying. I just got the car last month and im doing the regular maintenance. The car needs a lot of work. I also dont know when the timing belt was completed. So, going to change it all out. I wasnt at the point to change the parts because of monney but glad i found it before it cause major damage.

Car radiator should be religiously flush especially this summer. There are really chance that your radiator will leak so you should make it a habit to check it every time. Summer driving needs a fresh radiator that can help your vehicle's engine conquer the warmth. Deposit accumulation can clog the cooling system and result in motor overheating that leaves you dead on the streets. Knowing the way to flush your radiator and replace the antifreeze before that scorching summer trip will save you cash. I read this here: How to flush your radiator. I hope this would help.

Sounds like a water pump, since you are going to do both timing belts (soon hopefully) your water pump will be fully exposed, very easy to change at that point.

Water pump was bad. that has been changed. I've put everything back together and started her up. Everthing good. But when I drove her, seem like a i had little power. So now I have a friend stopping by to look at the timing belt. I believe its off
