LC1 and Keyspan no connection

OK i've been battleing with LC1 trying to connect to laptop for weeks now ,Here's what i have.
IBM think pad windows XP
Keyspan us19hs with driver loaded (disk).
LC1 from DYNOTUNe along with square display.
I contacted Innovate and followed some of there instructions, LED seems to be flashing correctly. Terminal (in) plug installed. Wired correctly.
I can not for the life of me connect to logworks or programmer.
Keyspan adapter is used for TMO logger and works fine utilizing comm port 1.

Not sure if this will help or not, but try v3.15. I had issues with the version that came with the unit and after talking to their tech support, they informed me the most current version is faulty. So the guy sent me an older version and it worked. You can find it here.

How does the LC-1 feed the square gauge?

It has like 3 wires and utilizes the brown wire i believe. But even with the square guage i'm seeing weird readings like starting on .5 to.8 and not going over 10.1 afr.
Doesn't seem right

Can you post exactly where each wire from the LC-1 is running and in what line the terminator plug is in? Just for verification.

And have you done the initial free air calibration?

Terminal plug in the (IN) terminal.
I'll post up wiring when i get home and check it out (cant remember).

Both grounds are soldered together and bolted to Engine (intake).
12v to switched source.
And do i have to uninstall the whole logworks software to install the older version of the programmer.

Have you verified that the grounds are actually good grounds? I typically bolt a ground somewhere on the chassis.

I wonder why that LC-1 comes with different colored wires that all of the other ones I've helped people with.

This is my second source ,i had it on the chassie before and same thing
Could it be Serial adapter?

I have used the Keyspan with my LC-1 and it worked fine. And if it works for another application, I don't see why it would be faulty.

Did you check the grounds with a multimeter? If it's sitting on top of paint, you might not have gotten a good ground.

How did you connect the wires? Crimping, twisting, soldering, etc.?

When using the LC-1, did you remember to remove the terminator plug?

Be sure to have the key off before connecting to the laptop,i was having the same issues and when i went back to the instructions it said that the the lc1 has to be powered off before connecting to the laptop.So i connect then start the car up and then its all good,try it out if you haven't.

Update: Well i sent the LC1 to Innovate for repairs. They're accually sending me a brand new unit to replace it , Wich is pretty cool.
Cant wait to finally start some tunning, Using N/B signal is scarry.
Question: What would be the ideal AFr under full boost? I have my Tunerpro afr's set at about low 10's from 4500rpms and up and seeing little knock 1-6 counts. I know that there's a fine line between rich/lean to making good power.
So i guess the idea is to add fuel and start taking away fuel to lean it up without knocking correct?

Glad to hear they're sending you a new one! They have pretty good customer support, but you have to be persistent I've found.

That looks like a safe start. I tune for 11:1, but will start out usually tuning for something richer to make sure my airflow is all dialed in, along with anything else I might see that's out. Then I change my fuel to get the target ratio, and then slowly up timing until I see knock and then back it down.
