late spool with new FP big T28

So the other day i put my new Big T28 in along with a walbro 190lph, and i go take the car out after puttin a few miles on it. When i went to WOT boost builds fast but holds at 15psi until like 5500 rpm then jumps up to 17 like i have my mbc set at. im wondering if anyone knows what it could be cuz it doesnt pull hard til i hit 17psi and then it feels real good but until i hit 17psi it feels kinda sluggish. I was thinkin it could be that i dont have the exhaust manifold ported, and the O2 sensor housing ported any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. and FYI i have for the time being the supporting mods i should need like intake, bov, and full exhuaust, with a test pipe, mbc, and a walbro 190. So if anyone has any ideas or had this problem also i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

I bet it is your wastgate, and if it is the stock spring, it is designed for like 10 PSI, so the more revs are needed to get the 17PSI. Tighten your wastegate and remove your Boost controller, try to get it to stay at 15PSI without a MBC, then set it to 17 or 18.



Actually, here I bet this will help. What good is a turbo if teh Exhaust gases pass right on by?

I would get some bigger injectors even though you already have a 190 FP if you want to run more than 15psi. Have you done any datalogs to see what your IDC is? You should definately look into porting both the manifold and the O2 housing. The WG area is usually the culprit for boost creep.
