Hello,
i've looked many places for this thread, and i cannot find anything.
i have bought the KYB AGX with H&R setup, now i would like to know when i go assmble this setup on, shock to springs, do i take everything from the oem assembly and swap it to the new setup?
the OEM Factory Assembly parts contain the following as many of us know in the order of top to bottom:
1-self-locking nut
2-washer
3-upper bushing
4-upper bracket assembly
5-upper spring pad
6-collar
7-upper bushing
8-cup assembly
9-bump rubber
10-dust cover
11-coil spring
12-shock absorber assembly
So i would like to know if i put everything back on to the new shock and coil springs, everything included in the factory setup. From numbers 1 to 10, everything should be included to the new KYB AGX Shocks and H&R Coil spring..
By the way this is for the front setup, will it be the same for the rear? that i have to swap everything from the OEM setup to this new setup?
i noticed that the front shocks have the little adjusting knob with 4 numbers, and the rears have the knob with 8 on the side, is this right? those are the only knobs on the shocks?
when mounting the new setup, do i need to compress the front or rear springs? i know i have to compress them to take them off, but to put them on do i? and how far should i turn the nut into the new threads on the new shocks.
Also i heard from some friends that i should cut the bump stop, why is this true? and if it is recommended how much should i cut and from where top or bottom?
Please help me,
and thank you very much for those who do try and helping me..
