I have a little problem on my car it sound like something is knocking but I’m not sure what it is. A friend told me that it sound like the spark plug cables that are bad and lose but I’m not sure. My brother told me that can be the valves but it does not knock much, it just some times when the car is standing but when I step on the gas it goes away so that is why not one can tell me for sure what can be making that sound. Someone here knows what I can do with this? By the way I check the wires and still in very good conditions but I’m thinking on changing cables and spark plugs.

I would imagine its either lifter tick or the solenoids for your fuel injectors ticking.
Does it sound like its coming from the intake manifold area, or from the head under the valve cover?
