Knocking since hot weather?

Okay so i got a ecu reflash from Jeff O and i have the stock boost gauge converted into knock a 5knocksum. since here in PA the weather has been nice for a week and its hotter so im showing some knock on the gauge.,. what can i do? thanks!

are you logging? what about boost level try turning down just a bit if you tuned during cold weather the air is denser as opposed to hot weather

Yeah with all my past cars I would tune my car twice a year. One for cold weather and once for warm weather. Weather changes always throws your tune off.

20/50 my car goes threw oil quick with a less weight. im trying to hold off a rebuild until winter 2010

15 psi on the t25 should show no knock in the perfect world. Focus on your wideband a/f ratio, if you dont have one, its a helpful guide. If you have dsm link, it will allow you to get rid of the egr function and fix the cel for that code. Lower temp. thermostat will help if used with h/o fans (fal fans). I tuned my t25 years ago to 11:5 on 91 at 16psi (might be the max for the lil guy).

What kind of plugs do you have, cause I think you could try colder ones (than stock) and see if that might help.

What exactly are you doing when you get this knock? WOT? Cruise? Rolling onto the gas? Are you running 3g lifters or the stock noisy ones?

the engine is stock and mine aren't noisy

and its only sometimes for a split second and its wot in four going up a hill or sometimes 2nd gear. It happens like 3 times a day for a second and then i let off and i can get back on and no problem.

haha thats funny, i have never said the word 50trim in my life. i said i will be getting a e316g in 10 days for my 18th birthday.

my friends were right next to me so im sure they could back it up to.

and actually to tell you the truth, i dont even know what a 50 trim is.

and i had my hood popped so why would i lie about something so lame i they could just look down ?

the only thing said was about my car was my strut bar and where i got it, that you have to recirculate without a maft, about how i hate my poly mounts, and i also told some guy that came up to me that had the new sti, and i told him my plans for the car which was 350whp with a e316g.

Not talking smack, I was just wondering! Maybe he was smoking something. I would look into your plugs, maybe clean your intercooler and check for boost leaks to resolve your issue.

oh ok my bad, but yeah i def. don't make stuff up about my car haha. It always helps if people say i heard instead of you did. but forget that. and yeah i use 93
