I have a 95 Talon TSi with the 1G CAS swap.

I had done the Pot Mod a couple weeks after the CAS install. Which took care of the misfiring problem. I did the Pot Mod 4 months ago.

In the last few days, I have had the same misfire. Could my Potentiometer of went bad?

It came undone from the wires last week. So I wired back up and all was fine till a few days ago.

I did not solder it either time as I do not have a solder. I checked the wiring and everything multiple times.

Last night at the track, I had my friend check my codes wth a code reader. It was right before I did a pass so we never wrote down the code. It said "Knock Sensor Circuit Malfunction" and something about no TDC signal? .

Since the misfire, I have been able to feel timing being pulled quite a bit.

I don't have a MBC yet, but normally full boost is 10psi on my T25. Since this, it is anywhere between 5 and 7 psi. It's different every pull.

I also have no BCS, so I am running off the WG.

Thoughts?

The knock sensor circuit malfunction is an indication of your ecu not getting signal from the knock sensor. With our cars getting so old, wires get brittle and break.

Do you have any way to log? When I had that knock sensor code it defaulted to 3.2 degrees of knock no matter what. Turned out to be a loose pin in the ECU, so I got that fixed and rewired the knock sensor with new shielded wire to be safe.

Think I found the culprit. Can this be fixed or do I have to get a new sensor with harness? This is the plug on the very end of the knock sensor harness that plugs into the second harness.

And no. No way to log.

EDIT: Chopped the plugs off both ends, and wired the wires directly to eachother. No change in performance. Still ran 5psi.

A friend asked what my firing order was. After a conversation, I looked at my plug wires and the order was wrong. I had 3-2-4-1 when it should have been 3-2-1-4. This WHOLE problem started when I swapped my VC so I must have put the wires back in incorrectly.

Changed the firing order to 3-2-1-4. Took it for a ride, felt smoother, but still boosting lower than normal. 7psi that time.

Which makes me think about my turbo. My T25 has had MASSIVE/CRAZY/UNBELIEVABLE shaft play ever since I have bought it.

Did a BLT a couple months ago. Fixed all the leaks. Still would only hold 15psi and it dropped FAST.

Maybe my T25 finally is about done?

I do have a 14B with everything needed for the install.
