Knock off 16g , or the real thing

Somebody who knows more then me please let me know... I do see the EVO III badging on the turbo... but i dont really know how to tell other then that?

I know SSautochrome makes a "knockoff" wich looks exactly like an evo 16g ,Thanks in advance , Andy

It's a knock off, and if you searched, you would have found that out in no time.

The real thing has TDO5H stamped on the outside of the compressor housing and also has a different wastegate arm.

And a real one with a 2g install kit is $699 at Turbochargers.com. That's the cheapest place selling the real 16g, you're not gonna real a real one for less than 400 like that one on ebay. just buy one from tc.com or find a used one here

save yourself the money and dont buy from ss auto chrome they are junk just bought a evo 16g ported and polished from them 2 months ago and it blew up. It never seen over 5 pounds of boost due to my new motor. I tried to contact them and wont answer my emails. So do the smart thing and buy from turbocharers.com.

Turbochargers.com Has there turbos posted on ebay for a little cheaper i believe , This is safe correct? Still has the same warrenty and everything

yea i bought mine straight form the website and you get a really great warrenty i get mine on wensday so if you would like i could tell you what i think about it so you can make up your mind but dont buy from ss auto chrome unless you got 600 bucks to loss

If you read ssautochrome warranty, it states if part has been installed there is no warranty,
worst company out there hands down.They stold the GT Sig from turbochargers.com, they have a lawsuit pending, also ss has no phone number, will not email you back, they suck worst turbo i have ever seen.
