A buddy of mine that used to go to my school comes by and visits our auto mechanics class. He rolls up in a '02 Si with 18's. It is all stock but still cool. I ask if he wants to run after school and he agrees. He knows i will win but we wonna have some fun.

1st Race - 20 mph Roll
This wansn't even a race. Rollin' in first gear I was already at 4 grand so the 14b was already spooled. On the count of 3 i was gone. I hit 100 and then let off. I smoked him by 10 cars. He passes by and gives the thumbs up. We make a u-turn and go from a stop.

2nd Race - From a stop
I couldn't tell when the light was gonna turn green cuz of the sun so i just started revvin'. He cut a good light and pulled about half a car but that was it. Once in second i was gone and beat him badly again. Gotta love DSM's. :thumb:

What do yall guys think? o yeah i'm only 16 and yes I do have a driver's license.:D

From a stop how was he so close to you ? I would of thought you would murder him on the launch.

Like i said before i could not tell when the light was gonna turn green cuz of the sun. Since he was next to me he was able to see the other light turn yellow then red, so he was prepared. It was not close He pulled like half a car, but by the end of first my front end was already past him. and i was gone. Beat him by about eight cars.

Good going! Keep up the civic ass kicking job. Its a easy, tiresome, and often anoying process but we all have to do our part! :thumb: :dsm:

02 SI's are slow as balls , good kill.

Whoa buddy, I know how to launch an awd. I may be only 16 but I know how to race. My best 0-60' at the track is 1.8 and that is good considering I have very little mods. How many times do I have to tell you guys I did not know when the light was gonna turn green, but he did. He saw the other light turn yellow so he started letting out the clutch, but by the time I saw the light turn green, reated, and started letting out the clutch he had a SMALL jump but i still caught him in first gear and still raped him by eight cars. So stop hatin'.:p

O yeah, and that 0-60' in 1.8s was against an '03 Cobra. I was half a car ahead of him in second gear. :thumb: Gotta love the awd. But after that he was gone. He beat me by about 5 cars but it was still enough for him to ask me what I ran at the end of the track. Man, those cobras pull like crazy on the top-end.

well, looks like you still have a lot to learn, like learn that most people don't care that you beat a civic :D

 I'm getting mad here. I am getting more slops than props. I did not say that i had the fastest car, i am not bragin about anything, all I said was that me and my buddy raced and I decide to post it here. And hey if you do not care that I beat a civic then why did you read and reply to my post, buddy? Somebody had a little too much Haterade this morning.

eh - i got the flamage when i was a dsm newb also. you'll get used to it - its good for you

not to mention that 02 si's are 16 sec cars while dsm's are low 15s to high 14s Its no contest. I normally would say good job...but this time I wont your 16 and racing to 100 on the street, your off to a bad start like I was....and I almost killed my self 2 times racing around town. Please wait til the track just hearing your story brought back memories I didnt want to think about, keep up your practice but keep it safe. If you do race, and we all do, dont exceed the speed limit too much...its just not worth it to go that fast.

Thanks for the reply. I understand where you are coming from. But it is hard being in high school. I get challenged to race just about every day. They are not worth racing. They range from a V6 Grand Prix to some guy in his mom's suburban. This was the first real race for me, since I usually stick to the track. He was the only guy that even comes close to a race. But we did it on a very long street and there were no other cars at the time. Thanks for the advice though.:)

damn now im jealous you get a challenge every day - I don't get challenged that often LOL

usually i'm the one doing the challenging take the former advice don't get addicted to street racing like I DID!! I just got back from a damn traffic ticket trial. Another $160 bites the dust.... it blows...

Civic Si? You should be running S2000's or GS-r's . Even out of the hole you should dominate and everyone will remember you.:thumb:

Yeah I should be racing those types of cars but there is not that many in my area. Read my "Raced my friends hatch" post. That's probably the quickest in my area. When I go to the racetrack though I always end up racing ZO6 vettes or Lightnings.:(
