Orangeville,
I'm just wondering if anyone has any info on this product besides what I read on their Website. From what I think I'm getting out of this, could this not be used in a 2G 6 bolt swap and eliminate the random misfire CEL b/c of the CAS complications? If so, why don't we hear more about this? Is it cost? Is it something else I'm missing? Or am I completely off base as to what it does? Any info would be great, thanx in advance.

I get the same idea from the description. It definitely has the 2g cas plug and is meant to bolt to a 1g front case. I wonder why we don't hear more about this. Its a great idea, although it seems a bit expensive. Maybe this is the reason it is not so common is because a 1g cas with the variable resistor on the barometer sensor wire is so much cheaper.

Ya, I dunno. It be nice to get some more input on the subject. I'm a real nerd when it comes to car tech and the more I can learn the better.

Hi guys, the 6-bolt crank trigger does eliminate the 2g random misfire CEL. We had one car in early testing that was getting the CEL, but after he replaced the clutch it all went away. I believe he had a clutch with some slack in the splines and that was causing the crank to chatter a little at low revs and tripped the CEL (it was happening in parking lots, low-speed stuff). The 95 ECU's routine is pretty sensitive it seems. Anyway, with a new clutch his CEL issues are gone. I have not had any other reports of CEL's from any other customers and several people have used it for the explicit purpose of a 6-bolt 2g swap.

What other questions can I answer? I'm honestly not sure what else really to add to this. I initially developed the part so I could do my MIVEC setup, but realized there was a more general market so we started manufacturing it.

Thanks,
Kevin

It works just fine with a stock 2g ECU as a plug and play setup. This wasn't its original application, but it works perfectly and that is why I chose to use the 2g crank trigger connector.
