I recently purchased a keyless entry remote for my car, i didnt even know that i had it until i read somewhere on here that it is standard on my car, but when i use it from a reasonable distance, i dont know if it works or not because there is no external indication such as a beep, or a flash of the parking lights to tell me that its locked. Does this happen for other peoples cars? ive never seen a car that wouldnt beep or light up or anything. Thanks- Brandon

okay, maybe i wasnt clear, i have stock keyless entry. I purchased a replacement transmitter and programmed it, it works fine, i just didnt know if my car should blink like most cars or let out a little beep upon locking. I have just found my owners manual and the answer is....

Keyless entry system (if so equipped)
Press the remote control switch, and the doors will be unlocked as desired. It can also help you signal for attention. Pressing any switch on the remote control switch will turn on the indicator lamp.

To lock
Press the LOCK switch, and all doors will be locked. When they are locked with the dome lamp at the (ON) position on cars without sunroof or (OFF) position on cars with the sunroof the dome lamp blinks twice.

To unlock
Pressing the UNLOCK switch once will unlock the drivers door only. When unlocked with the dome lamp in the (ON) position on cars without sunroof or (OFF) position on cars with sunroof the dome lamp will be turned on for threee seconds.

This is what mine does, hence it is normal, thanks anyways!
