Hey guys, im down to the only a handful of parts left to get to complete my build.. profile is not updated but i will fill you in

2.3L all forged internals
BW S259 t3 .70 housing----> about 35psi
3 angle port and polished head
ss supertech valves (stock size)
kiggly beehives/titanium retainers
jmfab race intake mani

+all fuel mods needed to keep up with that much air flow.. (>>>E85<<<)

I am looking at the kelford 272's and 280's.. this will be both a street/strip car but only driven in the summer! I was wondering if the guys with the 2.3L could tell me where their powerbands are with these cams.. read other threads saying stroked engines "make cams seem a size smaller". opinions are welcome as well.. thanks guys in advance

yes, the more CID you have, the "smaller" a cam will feel/sound in the engine.

so a 305 chevy, with 10:1 comp and a .484 lift/284 cam will idle more rough than a 350 with the same comp and cam.

but you going from a 2.0 to a 2.3 is a gain of appox 20CI.

since from what I can read in your post, it looks like your going for a top end screamer

the cam slection needs to be based on where in your RPM power band you want to be.
with a sheetmetal intake I would have to guess you want to have the engine above 4k most of the time.
also are you auto or 5 speed?

are you running a 1g head or the 2g head?
are the runners the proper on the intake for the head you plan to use?

who did the PnP? and did you get a flow sheet? ( I have junked many home ported heads due to the reason that they flow worse than stock) being turbo will over come alot of poor flow work when under boost.

I would stick to the K272s as the 280s are really a drag only cam were guys are pulling there motors to 9500+ RPM. With a stroker you wont rev that high so the 272s will be more than enough for the stroker.

272's will be MORE then enough for your setup. I use them, and they are NOT the same at all.. heck not even close as other generic 272 cams. There a great camshaft.

I'm using kelford 280s on my 2.4 mod list is in my profile. A stroker can benifit from higher lift longer duration cams because the eat up the compressed oxygen. But with your mods and smaller turbo k272 are perfect.

You'll probably outflow that turbo at only 6200-6400 rpms at 35psi, so really big, high rpm cams might not be the best choice for your combo. You'll make the same hp and more tq with smaller cams.
