just slapping on 550's

Ok what will happen if i just throw on some 550's? I know it will idle rough but is that it? and how bad will it idle?and i dont have a SAFC...

I want to say you should get an S-AFC before you slap those injectors on. WIthout it you'll run rich, so see if you can't grab an AFC off ebay or somewhere to turn those suckers down.

Your idle will be REALLY nasty...you'll be running really rich due to the extra fuel ( uncorrected fuel ratio) . This will cause your exhaust to be all black and it will have lots of soot. Nasty carbon deposits also may occur in your combustion chamber. Your gas mileage will be piss poor. Overall, its NOT a good idea.

When I first put in the 550s and initialized the S-AFC (0% across the board) which would mean that the ECU had total control over the fuel system the car wouldn't idle. it kept dying out and anytime you gave it gas it would bog. Now there are many times that I heard of people doing the swap without any fuel management and the computer picked up the slack. As for a difinitive answer I don't have one, my personal experiance showed me that the car woudn't run, at least in my case, but I never did give it a chance to recalibrate everything. (I did all my fuel and engine mods at once to avoid any guesswork)

can't really say they're expensive I mean you spent 2 bills on the injectors might as well spend another 2 on an afc.......

yea well i didnt even buy 550s yet .. Im poor... Ill just get a SAFC first.. anyone got one forsale cheap? theres is an olddddd skool one on ebay for 100
