The motor in my TSi is on it's way out. I want to rebuild it but do so with minimal downtime. I've been looking for a replacement 6 bolt long block for a couple of weeks, all I can find locally are some(3 of em') really clean 4g63 N/T engines (all the turbo models i've found are at least 500 miles from here and I can't afford shipping) I've read that only difference between the N/t and T 4g63 motors are the piston squirters and the pistons themselves(higher comp. -NT).
To save a buck and a bunch of downtime I was thinking about swapping in the 4g63nt with my 14b and exhaust manifold and supporting intake piping...just run it low pressure 10 or less psi.
Is this a bad idea?
Thanks
