DAMMIT TO HELL! BRAND NEW MHI EVO 3 16g torn up from a faulty 2gmas adapter which let pebbles/rocks/debris enter! Im so pissed i had to vent...i took pics to show the damn carnage, how badly chewed up is this turbo? Can i still use it to daily drive? Should i pull it and send it out ASAP? Lemme know...DAMMIT!!!!!!

She still has 0 shaft play...and spools fine..just evidently you can see shes been hurt.

I would pull it and send it in for repair. If the bearings are still good, then it will only need a wheel and rebalancing. With the amount of damage to the wheel, the balance is going to be way off and it will accelerate the wear of the bearings. It's also not going to do a very good job with those huge chunks taken out of it.

How pebbles went through the MAS is beyond me, but irrespective of whether it spools or not, the chewed blades will throw everything off balance. Stop running it and send it to FP for a rebuild. We're also only seeing one side here. You could have trashed the turbine blades as well and won't know it until everything's apart. If they offer a CHRA, you might want to try that as well.

$180 for the compressor wheel and who knows how much to get the thing installed/balanced. Ouch..... thats not even the evo3 compressor wheel...

I see, i guess i have got to call FP asap...Im wondering how much charge would cost me on a new wheel,installation and balance...anyone have any ideas? On there site there "basic rebuild package is 345...but it dosent say it includes parts...so im skeptical.

Im sure they are stuck in the ic and didnt make it to the engine. Pulling a head is a bad suggestion when a compression test will tell him what he needs to know.
