Alright I just got my TSi it was $3000 from ebay, here is the link
I am new to DSM's and my friend wants to kick my a$$ bc i got one and he has one, i just rode in his and fell in Love.... :) :D
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...&item=4516832288&rd=1&sspagename=STRK:MEWN:IT

it has a small 16g from SBR(bastard y not get the big o well)
2.5 turbo back exhaust
255 fuel pump
3" Intake
K&N Filter

I would like to squeeze as much power out of the small 16g and have the car be easy to drive to school and work and out doing errands.

I have as it stands 2000 roughly, so help me spend some money!!!!!!!

I would get 2g cams, get the exhaust ports and manifold bored out, 2g maf sensor, and bigger fuel injectors and all that wont be 2grand plus it will give you some good power to last you a while

I would get a FPR to control your fuel pump, a datalogger/MAFT or an AFC, boost controller, upgraded intercooler piping or a front mount kit, a set of 550's for injectors or bigger depending on what you want.

I don't know how close that is to 2k but find some deals and you could have it running nice.

NOS would do the trick to of course :thumb:

you have 2000 to spend and you already haeva turbo and exhuast. this is what i would do

Clutch (probably act 2600)
550cc injectors
AFC
FMIC kit
cams if you have money
And someway to tune it

that should be close to 2000 or less and could get you into the mid 12s pretty easy

I'm thinking you'll probably keep moding past this initial $2K. If so, you should attack one section at a time... for example. Fuel: You've got a pump so pick up 650s, an AFPR, a SAFC, and a custom eprom chip if you've got an eprom ecu. That wouldn't eat up your $2000 so take what's left over and start on another.

Intake: Get a 2G MAF or GM MAF, a front mount and new pipes or a whole front mount kit.

Exhaust: You've got the turbo back but if it's not an O2 eliminator or the O2 housing isn't already ported, port it or replace it and replace the exhaust manifold with a ported 2G or SBR or ported evo3.

Don't start planning how you're spending your money until you've had the car for awhile and have driven it. Right now, be much more focused on getting maintenence stuff out of the way before you start modding it.

Suggested steps:
- Oil change
- Tranny fluid replacement (Pennzoil Synchroshift)
- Transfer case fluid check/replacement (can't check ebay to see if it's AWD, but if it is)
- Rear diff fluid check/replace (same thing, only if it's AWD)
- Timing belt check/replacement
- Fix any oil leaks (cam seals, front case, rear/front main seals)
- Check condition of all drivebelts, replace if necessary
- Compression check the engine (make sure it's within specs)
- Check the condition of the transmission. You may need a rebuild or the synchronizers replaced
- Make sure the power steering pump isn't leaking
- Check the condition of all CV joints

Then, mod from there once everything is up to par. If it's been meticulously maintained, you won't have too much trouble with the above items. If it's been thrashed on, you may need to invest time and money to get it back up to stock.

TRUST ME - This is the way to do it. If you skip the above steps and something breaks, you'll pay twice as much later.

Assuming it already has a boost gauge, your first mod should be a logger.

Yeah... what he said.

ok well all this is a real help, i just talked to my friend last night and he said the same things as a lot of you. My first investment is probably going to have everything inspected and see what needs to be replaced. then i would be getting a datalogger and PDA and an Apexi S-AFC2. Then i am getting a joe p mbc, and am looking around for a good set of injectors. O ya AND SUMMER TIRES GET EM WHILE THEY ARE CHEAP!!!!!(Plus, it is dead winter in indiana so they are cheap!)
