Hey guys,
Yesterday I got my 98 Eclipse GST with only 130k miles. Engine is complete stock, except for a straight back exhaust. Has lowering springs and sits real low. Pretty pumped, got it in Denver, and drove it all the way home to Pueblo (2 hours) and drove completely fine.
Today, I got a new battery for it (it needed one badly) and it started right up, going down the street, I get to about 3700-4000 rpm, push the clutch in to shift, and then car stalls out completely. All the lights come on in the dash and I basically have to mimic a jump start to get it going again. Its very weird because this didnt happen to me at all in the 2 days I looked and test drove it from the previous owner and the 2 hour drive back home.
The BOV is stock and is recirculated. Idles perfectly until after boost basically.
Could it be the stock BOV getting stuck open? The MAF?
I have searched but cant get an exact posting of what my car is doing.
