just got my dsm and got coolant light on.

I just my first dsm and the guy had a 6 bolt swap. The coolant light is on and the coolant in the bottle next to the radiator goes down from about 3/4 full to 1/4. What problem is causeing the light and the coolant to be used quickly. The previous owner guy said that when they did the shop they missed something...

How much did you buy the car for?
When the car is up to temperature, and your driving do you notice excessive
smoke out of your exhaust?

It could be that it was just a little low on coolant, not enough to overheat.
Was the swap done recently?
The coolant is going somewhere, check for leaks anywhere. If not and it continues
to use coolant then I would assume that your burning coolant, either a cracked head,
or a faulty head gasket.

Im sure some on else could shed a little more light.
