Oh...we are def getting together my friend. I saw a 2g at Albertsons last Thurday. Same color as mine. We might want to go check out our friend in pasco...as I have alot of parts to add. Congrats on the car bro. I would go the maintenance route first before all the "show" stuff - especially being that you got the car for $900. I would first spend the money on a new timing belt if it hasn't been performed, new fluids, rad flush etc. How many miles does it have btw? (if it's posted already - my bad ahead of time ).

Thx Top! 160k on the dial. I had the car checked out and in the air. It needs a driverside cv boot. I went ahead and bought a new axle just in case.

The clutch slave and master have already been replaced when I got the oil change this past Monday. Got those through rock auto.

Picked up some wires and I already got the spark plugs which I think I will do next with the radiator flush.

I will do some research on the timing belt. Should the water pump be done at the same time?

ok so if you want to do motor mounts you probably be better off getting the polyurethane inserts.. i got a whole set for about 120$. the cv axels are different.. the passanger is alot longer than the driver side as to the transmission being on the driver side. you definitely look like you got alot of work to do on this thing.. but not too bad for 900$. and once again.. welcome to the dsm world.. i have 2 95 eclipse's and i love them.. research research research thats all i can say.. i started not knowing anything about these cars except the one in fast and the furious was my inspiration.. you can never research too much

Anyone take a look at my engine compartment, and can tell me why my engine sits slanted to the passenger side? New mounts were placed all around with springs, ball joints and struts...

Things I've done to my 420a.

Get that battery in the back hatch!!
Throttle body spacer so I can hear that whistle.
Shortened up my intake
Msd ignition
4-1 headers (soon to be 4-2-1)
Compete engine rebuild
In process of building a head for it
You can turbo your 420. But they don't hold the stress up very well for a long time. And then just a lot of cosmetic stuff as well.
