my dad just bought my an eclipse gs without asking me about them. i did so much research to find the right one and i found a few gsxs i wanted to look at! with the price he bought them with, i could have gotten a good gsx too. damn o well, not complaining. anyways! i just drove it for the first time and i found the following things wrong with it.

- radio doesnt work
- left speakers dont work
- rpms drop like mad when ac is on
- both front axels are broken!
- something wrong with either transmission or clutch. first gear grinds like mad! and sometimees 2nd

the main things im worried about is the 1st gear griding because it is so damn annoying. it happens almost everytime i stop and put the car into first (it feels like something is still moving or something). does anyone know what might be causing this and/or how to fix this? also the radio, does anyone know how i can check if the wires are all okay? if anyone has any other info or fixes on any of the above issues, please help me :[ thanks

Have you by any chance checked your clutch fluid level yet? If it gets low and sucks in air it will cause you heck trying to get it in gear and may cause grinding. Check around for any leaks while you are there. Do you have any trouble with shifting in the other gears, or is it just 1st and 2nd giving you grief? I'll try to help out if I can... :dsm:

(wifes car just had this problem with 1st grinding and not going into gear easily, It had got low on fluid and sucked air)

my cars getting its axels..axis...axeqqdw fixed right now. ill check the fluids when i get it back tommorow. when i put the car in first gear it feels like something is spinning still. so i push it into first, it grinds, then goes in and out fine. then randomly if i try again, it will grind. im going to have someone look at it tommorow. im not too mechanically savy just yet! but im starting to learn..

Re-bleed your clutch system. If that does not work, try adjusting the clutch master rod out a little bit (one full turn will help a lot).

im not too sure what that means, but ill look around to find out how. i found that if i press the clutch down for 3 secodns or so before putting it into first gear, it will not grind.
