about to order aem fuel pressure regulator with guage and injectors. I am debating between what size injectors to go along with the 16g turbo, aem fuel rail and regulator that I will have. I have been lookin at either 550 or 660cc injectors, but I dont know which way to go. simply looking for some insight and/or direction. Also any tips or comments on what to have and/or do before installing all of this. I already have a 255lph fp. Thanks

You can actually get away with 550's and no tuning, of course tuning would help substantially though but you would probablly push the little injectors to their max pretty quickly with your 16g depending on how much boost you intend to run... So to play it safe, it would be wise to go with the 650's to have plenty of room to play with but would definitely need something to tune with, at least an SAFC if not Link...

Btw ditch the aem fuel rail, definitely not needed as the stock fuel rail can handle 400-500whp which is much more power than you'll probably ever see on the 16g...

Agreed. Ditch the aem fuel rail and get some kind of logging device or wide band if not obtain yet! Use that money else where!:D Good luck!

I already have the fuel rail...will it be a problem having it on with the turbo, injectors, etc?

NO it wont be cause a problem its just that the stock fuel rail flows well enough for upwards of 500hp.

I wouldnt advise throwing in some 550's and calling it a day. I have heard of people using a 2g MAF and 550's and running fine due to they cancel each other out, but I didnt see that on his list of parts. 650's would be a better choice IMHO with at least a SAFC.

Somehow i completely missed the OP has a 1g, but yeah coupled with a 2g maf you should be alright, and as i stated before you can get away with NOT tuning on 550's but it is DEFINITELY recommended as it will yield far better results...

thanks bro..i appreciate that feedback. do you recommend a port and polish on the head?

no you dont need a port and polish, the stock head has done 500 hp and beyond. Use that money and buy ecmlink lite or a safc.

Firsty's go with the 660's, you could be kicking yourself later down the road for not doing it.

Secondly, port and polish isn't needed, and why pull it all off just for that? Do it if you plan on doing other internals and such, then it'd be worth it.

A 16g on a good setup running high boost will easily exceed 90% IDC on 550's. Ask me how I know.

You need something to tune with.
