toronto,
what would happen if i take the recirculating hose off the BOV and plug the hole on the intake?

It affects your car's performance, because the ECU has already accounted for that air that's supposed to be recirculated.

There are lots of topics on this, try searching for: BOV venting.

Try it and give us some feedback! :thumb:

Tried it to mine once just to be a jagoff and it wouldn't idle. I was trying to mock this dude in my neighborhood who has an SRT4 that likes to roll up next to you as you drive and roll the throttle on and off repeatedly, trying to "threaten" you with his loud, crappy sounding BOV. I prefer to threaten potential victims with a cloud of dust and some black smoke.

Congratulations. You've stumbled upon the most discussed and most locked topic in the newbie forum. Please do some searching. There are litterally hundreds of threads on dumping the bov to atmosphere.
