Got some spare time to thrown in stainless filter after over a year on e85...

The paper element actually looks really good(figured it would) but i wanted to post a picture so you guys can see...

I did have my injectors gum up but had nothing to do with the filter.. i assume it is something to do with the intake and combustion.

What is the mesh on the stainless? Lots of stainless filters are to large and lead to clogged injectors.
The stainless i just put in is a 40micron.. i believe the paper was 10. I got the stainless at the same time as the filter but never put it in til today.

Biggest thing i wanted to show is that the paper elements work just fine with e85 and dont "disintegrate" as people have accused them of doing.. this filter saw about 15k miles at least on it.

My friends 2150's clogged twice with a 40 micron. He switched to either 5 or 8 and hasn't had any issues.

I don't run a stainless for that very reason. I drive around 15,000 miles a year on e85 and don't have any problems either.

Well i may very well be changing back but my injectors clogged BEFORE the addition of a stainless filter after around thatv15k mile mark.

Paper ones are cheap enough if it gives me issue... beauty of an lines is that its a quick swap.
