What is the cheapest place to get a jdm swap.No trans and cut harness, with turbo? Anyone have some links?

The JDM will run you $1500+ including shipping. Mine cost me $1475 from Rising Sun Engines for just a long block with the timing belt changed.

You might want to check the head's surface to see if it's flat.

I picked up a JDM with a 16g and yellow top injectors locally for $1230 out the door with a 6 month warranty. No tranny etc. I would call around locally and get some quotes. I found the place that I used in the back of an Autotrader.

Wow, all I can say is that's a great price with some great goodies to go along with it. I wish I would have received a turbo with mine, so I could have had a chance to get the EVO 16g turbo .

No I no whats wrong with my engine, ive done everthing in my power to try and make it work and its definitly the block ive tryed 3 heads, 3 gaskets(all different), arp headbolts and stock ones too, no matter when it still blows

honestly you're doing exactly what i did (apart from the blowing head gaskets )

I recently purchased a jdm engine from osakajdmmotors.com and unknowingly got the yellow top injectors and the 16g and tranny for 1750 shipped. I wouldnt however recommend they had suck ass customer service and the engine arrived with a messed up head gasket and the brown goo below coming out of the block drain where coolant should be coming out.

another you need to be forewarned of - I looked around for quite a while trying to find out what it takes to install a jdm engine in the usdm eclipse and i never found a good answer.

You need to realize this is NOT a bolt in affair. Simply put, there is a lot of shit you will have to swap over - basically anything that has an electrical plug and practically anything external.

I didn't find this out until we got the engine of course, so it made swapping it a pain in the ass. It is almost done with the 16g turbo on but i put the usdm injectors on because this is a bone stock gsx with no AFC or anything.

If i could do it again? I would say get a used usdm engine for say 600 off ebay (yes i have seem them go this low) and then use the rest of that cash on go fast parts.
