ok just got my jdm engine. im a little confused... it has a tdo4 turbo (13b i think) on it but it has a clutch??? so it was a 5 speed car... the compressor wheel looks like a 16g's but the turbo is tiny!!! and the intake. i thought they said cyclone on it? it says turbo intercooled and i thought everything is on the other side??? ...
thanks
tony

Well if you have it there, take a picture of the turbo, post it, and you might get a lil more help. Being that you do not even know for sure what turbo it is, how do you expect us to?

well first i dont have a camera. second i described it above. "tdo4. real tiny it is. and has a 16g looking compressor wheel)..... i was wondering why it would have a 13b on it when it has a clutch... unless somebody swapped it

Honestly..I really dont believe anyone is going to be able to help you....you said it has a 16g "looking" wheel which implies, it could be something else...calm down and find a friend with a camera...its not the end of the world...if it was an auto, maybe an auto to manual swap?, you can get 450s for cheap nad stock cams for cheap...just take a deep breath and it will be ok...I think your getting yourself all worked up over nothing. Never know. could be a 16g :thumb:

edit: when did you post this tread by the way...edited time says 10:00, just wondering

sorry... it looks like they swaped th turbo at noyan b/c the bolts were all loose.... yea 16g looking compressor wheel how it has a small one in between to biggers. (fins).... i posted this like last week mabye... not sure tho...

Is it a 6 or 7 bolt motor?? Some of the 7 bolt motors came with a TD-04HL, which is a 13g housing with a bigger compressor.

A lot of 5 speed guys on here have a TD-04 turbo on their 5 speed cars, no biggy. Just take the 14b off your old engine if it is still good. or sell them both and buy a 16g or something.

arnt all jdm engines 6 bolts? anyway its a 6 bolt (i can tell b/c of the oil pan.. how it pops out not in) yea had a 16g but got rid of it... the car isnt actuly mine any more i sold it and the kid ran it out of oil... he beat the car so bad he blew the valave cover gasket n oil puked out and he hit something and got a hole in the oil pan and still drove the car... after i just put that motor in.. it had mabye like 9000 miles on it since the rebuild... idiot huh LOL
