Hi
Ok, I know I'm an idiot, but I need some help...
I have a 97 Eagle Talon TSi AWD. A few months after I bought it, number 3 cylinder died. I bought a complete JDM replacement engine. When the engine was sitting beside the car, they looked the same.
Once I was into the swap, i realized that the wire harnesses are very different. I don't want to cut and re wire because i don't want to have issues finding replacement parts like the alternator for example. So, I stripped the old engine and put on the new engine. problem now is the cam shaft sensor and the crank shaft sensors are different and the car won't run with out them. The transmission has a cable driven speedo and my car is all electronic. I believe the speedo runs through the ECU, but I'm not sure.
As far as I have been able to tell, the only things that are better in the JDM engine is the injectors and possibly the turbo.
What I would like to know is how do I get out of the mess I'm in. I have a JDM block and head installed with the rest of the components coming from the talon. She won't run for more then a few seconds because of the cam and crank sensors. How do I get the engine running? i don't want to cut the wire harness unless it is absolutely necessary. Rewiring a car is a pain in the ass.
If anyone has any suggestions as to how to get the car up and running with a minimum of pain and cost, i would really appriciate it.

Cheers,
lz
