Jdm 4g63

Ok I want to put the jdm 4g63t into my 91 gsx shell. My question is what parts and/or sensors I will need form the us motor to have it working. Also I know the intake is different(I dont wanna hook up and I know it can be done), but do I need the us intake manifold and throttle body or just the intake manifold or throttle body. You're going to want a new intake manifold and thermostat housing for sure. The coil pack plus is different, but can be modified to work. The coil pack also doesn't screw onto the US manifold like the JDM one does, but you can make it work as well. If you want to pass emissions, you're going to need a new throttle body as well.

I dont care about emissions cause I know someone that will "look the other way" and pass it. But I heard something about the oil presure sending unit and I think one more thing but am not sure.

Also if anyone has ordered a JDM 4g63t motor can you tell where you got it from, how much it was, what kind of conditon it was in, and if the people where shady or not. Thanks for the help everyone.

japanstarmotors.com . i called them on the phone ordered the motor and it was here in three days. 1500 flat shipped and after taxes. motor mounts are cut and the motor is fully assembled. it was also pretty dirty but some polishing made it look very nice. tell them your email adress and tehy'll email you a receipt.

1400 shipped. Engine came in decent shape, washed it up and it looked great. AC compressor wasn't there, but I didn't want AC anyways. My engine came with the "Tuned By AMG" spark plug cover. The odd thing about my engine is that it had a flywheel attached, and a 13g turbo bolted on. Which means someone in japan likely took the engine out of an auto car and threw it in there 5-speed.

That sucks! When ordering an engine, can you specify what turbo you want? Like a 16G with yellow injectors? Cuz that would be my only reason for going JDM.

Those engines are rare. They are out of the Galant RS, and are not the same price as the VR-4 engine, unless the vender doesn't know what the difference is.

these motors are usually more beaton than the stock galant engines, id rather get a good galant engine and add teh injectros and turbo later, 510cc is inadequate in most cases anyway.
