LOL....i know exactly what you are saying

I recently wrote to JAM about their modified forrester intake and how it rates against Magnus with velocity stacks...this is what i got back. First, are there any tests of JAM~Forester VS. Magnus/velocity stack out there? Second, has anyone installed a JAM intake with their 75mm TB and used the stock origional sensors? A writeup or guide on how to do that would rock. Anyways, thanks guys!

Our JAM~Forrester Intake kit is perfect for all Hot Street/Strip or full
Strip use.
The Manifold offers power on all your RPM ranges, not just at the top of
your gear changes, it is designed for use with 2.0 or 2.3 engines, this is
the same exact one we have on our shop 2.3 engine.

We have tested our Forrester Intake against the Hogan, Magnus, and the
factory piece, ours out flowed all of them, hands down. We tested using the
stock OEM factory TB and our 75mm Billet piece as well, we still made more
power. The trouble with most of the aftermarket intakes are they do not work
well on the street, they usually do not fit properly, the Intake TB flange
does not offer a good sealing area, ours does, it has a special CNC billet
aluminum piece with a built in O-ring for positive sealing, no gaskets are
used. It is a real neat piece or else we would not put our name on it.
We only offer performance items to our customers for one reason, because
they work.

We have not installed the OEM TPS on our throttle bodies, so I can't answer
that question. We use the AEM ECU and our sensor kit is perfect to use.

I do not know what you mean by velocity stacks?Sorry.

I won't buy from JAM. Worst customer service I ever got anywhere. To treat a customer the way that they did me when I was 2 min away from ordering $2k worth of parts from them. And little tidbits of info on the velocity stacks tops them all now.

I fell outta my chair reading this...ROFL

I was impressed with JAM's shipping, they are fast and a signature is required to get your parts so they are not left outside of your front door. I have the complete setup on my street/drag car, the intake and the 75mm Billet TB, i'm using a stock ISC motor with a adapter i have made, as far as the TPS goes i'm using the Ford TPS, i've looked into every TPS and this was the easiest, i wanted to go with stock TPS but got burnt out coming up with another adapter, as far as the intake goes it's a bolt on affair with no issues the only problem i ran into is my stock size battery due to the TB being against it, so i have to go with the small version battery to make things fit and relocate the coil pack, etc. I'm still putting the car together, hopefully in the next couple of months i'll have some dyno time and see how it it all performs, i still have A/C in car to beat the Florida heat and no clearance issues there either.

I don't know if the results are still public but some guys did an intake manifold shootout a few years back and the Forrestor was the worst performing manifold. It was around 20-30whp less than stock at all rpm's. If you look around you might be able to find the results.

Just think like this. When thinking of an intake system thing velocity not flow. This is why stock 2g heads are better than 1g head and why evos make so much damn power with small ports. I would go with a magnus long before I went with some idiot that can't grasp the concept of what a velocity stack does and how effective it is.
