For some reason, no matter how tight that I tighten down the clamp on my jpipe to my IC piping, it keeps coming off. Is there something wrong, or do i just need a new clamp?

Are you using silicone couplers?

try using a t bolt clamp if your not already

1. use real hose clamps (t-bolt type)
2. ends of the pipe needs to be beaded (use jb weld or have it welded or take it to a muffler shop and get then to flare the ends)
3. sand the pipe, so the silicone coupler has something to grip on to
4. use correct length pipes (if too short then maybe there is too much tension pulling it apart easily)

try those!

If you haven't already tried use some brake cleaner on both the silicone cupler and ont her pipe itself. This has always worked very well for me. Ive been running 20+ pounds and not one pipe blow off.

The couplers look to be your average rubber couplers, not the red or blue silicone. I'm already using T bolt clamps. Ill try beading the end as well as cleaning it with some brake cleaner first thing tomorrow. Would I be able to find the stronger silicone couplers locally? Like at an auto store or would cheapbay be my best bet?

im not sure if you would find a good silicone coupler from your auto parts dealer, but they would probably a greddy type which often crack. try going to Intercooler Pipe Fabrication - Silicone Intake Systems Auto Parts and browse their area, might be a bit pricey for some but i would definitely use their type of silicones. find a hydraulic shop around your area and they might carry some too?

You definately need to do that... it will make a huge difference. Also if your two pipes that you are connecting dont line up perfectly or flex, you may have better luck with a humped coupler.

Found some on extremePSI, i'll be ordering all new ones, including a humped for that tricky little j-pipe to IC. Figured if i was replacing one, might as well get all new just to be safe.
