I've deciced to keep my 14b and work around it. It seems some people have generated some pretty impressive numbers with the lil guy, so i'm gonna work it out.

ANyway I'm in the process of getting my FMIC and custom piping together and I heard about this thing called a j-pipe. I know the factory turbo has one but there are after market ones which are supposedly better.

Can anyone tell me if an aftermarket j-pipe is benefitial to my 290 whp goal,
and if it is where can i find one?

oR turbo outlfet for the technical folks.

You can see my mods on my website. :talon: Go eagle

if you're 1g you already have a j pipe... these are only necessary to install on a 2g.

i dont think a j pipe will help much but the SBR one i have is about 2.5" outside diameter, vs. your 2"??? i wouldn't waste money on something you already have.

stage 1 mods is good for 290 whp if you push 18+ psi

Is this j-pipe on a 1g a plastic piece of pipe from the turbo?? because i was searching for an upgraded pipe.....

If you put a FMIC on your car you will need a new J pipe like this one.

Just becasue you are a 1G deosnt mean you dont need one. The one you have will work with a sidemount not a frount mount. There are companies that make bigger than stock turb outlets that face the same as stock if you are going to run a side mount. If you go with a FMIC then you will need a new J pipe.

Edit: Here is the big stock position outlet.
